Description
Tall and tan and young and lovely
The girl form Ipanema goes walking
And when she passes, each one she passes goes - ah.
Those three lines open the famous Bossa Nova song, "The Girl from Ipanema." Interestingly, the final word of the third line, "ah", is exactly what you'll be saying after a sip of freshly brewed Ipanema Clementine Spice Herb and Fruit Tea. Inspired by Ipanema's world famous beaches - listed by the Travel Channel as the world's sexiest - Clementine Spice has music on the mind. [A historical footnote, Ipanema beach wasn't always so sexy. The name Ipanema comes from the Tupi language, spoken by Brazil's native inhabitants and means, "bad water". However, the beach's water is remarkably clean owing to large breakers offshore - so why the name? Well, the ancient Tupi relied on the warm southern waters for fish, and since these waves break very close to shore at Ipanema, the shoreline was no good for fishing.] It is of course, perfect for sun tanning! The Brazilian sun fairly drips out of the sky, bathing beach-goers with its scorching, sultry rays.
Capturing the sensual allure of an afternoon on the beach was not easy. After numerous experiments, our Master Blender settled on a combination of dried herbs and fruits infused with the sweet citrusy goodness of all-natural clementine flavoring. It was felt that clementines possessed the perfect balance of sweetness and tangy citrus - the embodiment of the sun itself - and best reflected the spirit of the beach. [Another historical footnote: clementines, (Latin: Citrus reticulata) weren't named until 1902. It is believed the fruit was discovered by a priest, Father Clément Rodier, in the garden of an orphanage he ran in Algeria. After the discovery, people began to call the fruit clementine after the old priest who found them.]
Turn up the heat with a spicy pot of Ipanema Clementine Spice today. Bask in refreshing orange -clementine notes as they wash over your taste buds, followed by dulcet tones of cinnamon spice - delicious! We wonder.if the tea had been blended before the famous song was written, would the authors have had an answer to their question?
.but I watch her so sadly,
How can I tell her I love her?
We think so - no one can resist a freshly brewed cup!
